Alexandria sighed and looked around, her long dark brown hair falling into her face slightly. She adjusted the circlet on her head and quickly looked at her hand sadly.
Iora smiled but looked down. "That's what they always say."
"It's true, Miss Iora, that people say things and then forget them," Grauti whispered, looking at the other girl intensely. "But even if we didn't want to be with the others on this ship, we have no choice in the matter."

The ship rocked to a halt as what could only be described as a floating goldfish suddenly appeared very close to them. "Just hop over the edge!" Inaho called out from atop a sail. "Don't worry about him. He's sleeping right now. Hurry up and get to the green spot right there!" The maid pointed to the only thing that marred the behemoth fish: A large mossy green splotch right below his fin. "The Engine of Dextera should be somewhere right around there, according to our sources. Please hurry!"
