Talk about cutting it close...

    Tomorrow's Day 16 and we're just starting on the brooder box [​IMG] LOL! Let's hope we don't have any early pips! This box has to hold 50+ chicks.


    ETA -- yes, I plan to search for some brooder ideas after I get the kids in bed, but while I'm gone, maybe if someone has something big enough, they can post a picture for me? Thanks a bunch [​IMG]

    how many chicks are you hatching ??? I use a storage bin with shavings ( i know some people use paper towel or newspaper ) clamp a heat lamp on the side of it. i also have a bigger brooder for my 16 chicks, its 2 1/2 cardboard boxes taped together, i cant see spending all that much on a brooder, i spend enought on feed to feed them all !!!! Good luck

    I've got 2 dozen EE's in my bator, but I'm picking up my 30 buff orp chicks from Jody this week as well. Needs to hold lotsa chicks. [​IMG]
