Talk to me of your Wii Fit

Quote:
A. Yes we use it.

B. Yes we feel tired! That is a good tired.

C. I would rather do Wii Fit then go to the gym.

D. I think it is more motivating.

E.It is most defenitly worth the money.

Also it is more fun than the gym because you can play so many games that really give you a good exercise where at the gym it just gets boring.

Yes...we actually use it....
We feel something...LOL (forget you had muscles in certain spots)
It was well worth the money....
More motivating....like mentioned before...the games are fun and it makes you not realize you are working out...
Well worth the money..(especially because it can wear out 3 boys with ADD...which is well needed now with all this freezing weather)

A. Do you actually use it?
Yes, everyday... but I've only had it for 10 days. (but I think I'll keep using it, I also regularly used a treadmill when I had one)

B. After using it do you feel/are you more fit?
I'm not really that terribly out of shape but the yoga and strength training really do wear me out so it must be doing something.

C. Was it worth the money or is the money better spent at a gym?
I don't think you can compare it to going to a gym. This is a nice way to get more active but I'd work out more intensely at a gym (if I was willing to spend the time and money going to a gym.. nearest one is probably 20 miles away)

D. Is it more motivating to use for exercise than just going to the gym?
It's right there in the living room so it's easier to get up and play with it..

E. Is it worth the money?
Yes. If nothing else, we can keep the heat set at 63 degrees in the house and save on propane. When you feel cold get up and run the obstacle course a couple of times... you'll warm right up. The wii sports boxing will warm you up too.

Even tho' we've just gotten the thing, I love it. It's a lot of fun - my boyfriend and I laugh with and at each other as we play on the thing.

edit: we have the wii fit plus.

We got it for Christmas and we love it. I use it everyday and I feel a little sore. The yoga is hard and can really feel how out of shape I am with that. It's lot's of fun and worth the money. I use the Wii more than I would go to the gym.

Actually, I wouldn't get Wii Fit itself. I'd get the Wii Fit Plus. I've heard that it has all the same stuff as Wii Fit, but also has some more fun games and you can make your own exercise programs. We have the Wii Fit here. We stopped using it in the summer, but have gotten back into it. My husband went 4+ months without missing a day! (We brought it with us when we went to folks' houses for the night). Do some searching. We're going to get the Wii Fit plus, because both of us want to be chickens that flap around islands and the like! We have friends that have it, and they're bringing it with them to our game night this Friday. I can check in again after that to let you know.

And, if you have kids, they'll love some of the stuff too. My daughter is two and loves doing the ski jump and the penguin slide and the soccer ball heading.

I will admit that I do sometimes yell at it because it's mean (or seemingly so), but the yelling is usually in jest.

We got a Wii and WiiFit Plus for Christmas (well a little bit before Christmas).

Unfortunately I am not a good example since I was having soooo much fun doing my personal yoga/strength routine and then went onto boxing and I guess I overdid it. I messed up something in my back and spent the rest of December in agony. I am finally almost better now and itching to get back to playing the WiiFit. I am a little leary as I am not sure what I did exactly that hurt my back, so not sure what to avoid doing again lol.

There are lots of different games and a part where you check in and get weighed, etc each day. It is good incentive. I highly recommend it!

My brother has a friend with a little boy who is special needs and has physical and balance problems, so my brother (who is an uncle to all his friend's kids, and is really sweet to do stuff like this) bought the little boy a Fit and the balance thing (or does it come with the balance board or whatever it's called?) so he could play it and use it for physical therapy. I guess he loves it.

Also, Wii in general (not necessarily Wii fit) are supposed to be great for the elderly and in nursing homes, etc., because they can have a good time and can be somewhat active (at least up and out of the chair and moving a little) without the joint strain or potential injury of 'real life' physical activity. For instance, Wii bowling can be a blast for a couple or small group without the need to heft and roll something as heavy as a bowling ball.

I have the WII fit which I use every day. I love it . especially the balance games . My calves are killing me. Then I went over to a friends house and she has the WII fit plus and she has way more games on hers. I have to get it. I've ordered the biggest loser, it should be here this week .I'll let you know how it is.
It is insulting though especially when you skip a day. If i want to be nagged about not getting off my butt I'll call my mother. geesh
