Talk to your eggs?

We talk to each egg when they are candled and then during lockdown they get lots of verbal encouragement. we have not had any deaths and the chicks that we hatched ourselves follow me around the yard EVERY day, I have to be careful when I stop short or turn around because they are always right there it is so great. the hatchery chicks run the other way

we have even started playing classical music to the incubators so that they have constant stimulation. It works on human babies and I have heard that it will make them grow faster and more resiliant

if nothing else it lets them know that they are not alone.

Oh great. No, I've never talked to my eggs, but I have my cell phone set right next to them. I guess I'll have to sing my ring tone to them.

I do! AND i even play hatching peeping sounds (from you tube) for them when they are close to hatching..to get them enticed to come out of the shell...

My voice is enough to scare a chick into NEVER hatching- so I use an ancient Audubon bird call once they start pipping.

Oh I love it! And the first responder thought I was making a joke! I may have to get an incubator made for next spring, too exciting. I know that when you talk to your belly when pregnant that the baby learns your voice better and also an infant raised around more household noises seems to thrive better so I figured it would be the same with eggs. I love that pp's played youtube videos to encourage the eggs. What a wonderful thing this internet
