Do you talk to your chickens? Ive found myself saying good morning and good night to them. I also congratulate them on laying an egg...I dont think its weird...
Yes:)
No, it's not weird LOL

I talk to mine but I dont have conversations with them. i dont say good morning/goodnight etc but i do make sure they are aware of me before i'm close , I announce myself to them and try to always make a good amount of sound (shaking feed and singing to them etc) far before i am in there presence so i dont spook them.

I'll never admit to singing to mine;) LOL They may have a good morning song, but eh, who knows!

Mine can hear me coming, I can't sneak up on them, they are carrying on like maniacs before I can even round the corner of the house. They are window watchers and door and gate listeners:rolleyes:

I do say good morning and good night, those that have names know it too. I really need to name the rest, but haven't gotten around to it. Spoiled? No.

lol why not? I have a "good morning song" for my three female dogs, the language is too colorful to quote on Byc lol

I make plenty of noise tromping through the woods but I feel like when i just walk up to mine without announcing myself verbally they flutter all around running and squawking, flying into trees. if i talk while i walk to them they just continue on there business like i'm not ever around.

Only one of my chickens has a name lol My tiniest girl, Sugar.

Every time I go out to check on them or visit for whatever reason, they always run to greet me at the gate. I always greet them with a hello girls/ladies and those that have names (because not all of them do) I greet them by name. If I am cleaning out the coops and a girl is in the box, I cheer her on or I tell them good job. When I close up the coops I always tell them Nite Nite or Goodnite Girls. I don't find it weird at all lol. :highfive:
