Taming Ducklings

I'll try that also when I get home from school. Sometimes if I hold my finger out in front of their bill they nibble on my finger. Lol

Wobbles loves to have his bill and forehead stroked. I was pretty determined to make him hands-friendly as a duckling, so I'd pick him up and when he began to squirm I'd gently run my index finger sideways along his beak and over his head and he'd calm down. I've seen other duck owners say the same thing, but maybe it doesn't work for all duks.

X2 on bill & forehead.

Also ducks seem to like contact down the front of their neck and under their chest rather than on their backs. I scratch my ducks chest all the time and they seem to like it. They don't like hands looming over them so much.

Here is a clip of Tevye getting some kale at around 5 weeks. He had long since eaten the leaf, but was having fun with the stem so we let him. So here he is close and having fun and will equate being close as a good thing.

Ducks (especially those smart Pekins) love to play with the touch screen on a cell phone. If you have ceiling fan, turn the camera on in selfie mode and the ducks will peck at the image of the fan and themselves

Also some of them like the cat games with the ants running on the screen or the same color games where you tap the groups and the bubbles pop and the remaining ones move.
