Taming Ducklings

Mine are close to a week old I think. And ok, I'll take them out and try feeding them by hand when I get home. Once I have them in my lap, they seem to calm down and let me let them without being so scared and running away

Like an addiction. They get really annoyed if I bring their bath water out and don't have peas, too.

BTW, when feeding things other than duck food to ducklings (or ducks) make sure they have some grit available to them to snack on throughout the day. Their food includes enough for them to eat it by itself, but if they are eating peas and lettuce and such, they should have additional grit available separately.

They are so cute!! And I got all 3 of my ducklings just now to eat feed out of my hand!!! I'm so happy!!! they was sitting on my lab when they did Btw, one pooped on my leg lol

Congrats! And poop is going to happen. An old towel over your lap helps.
