Looking for help in treating tapeworm for two year old chickens + a bantam. Is Praziquantel what I need to use? What product on the market is most successful and available?

Available products

• Thomas labs make a powder and capsules that are just praziquantel. I need to do the math on this.
• MedPet make MEDIWORM for pigeons which is praziquantel and pyrantel pamoate.
• Droncit may be used, but will be very expensive!
• Wormout Gel has 20 mg/ml Praziquantel, 20 mg/ml Oxfendazole. Dose is 0.23 ml per pound or 1.14 ml per five pounds.
• Equimax horse paste has 140.3 mg/ml Praziquantel, 18.7 mg/ml ivermectin. Dose is ~0.033 ml per pound, or 0.16 ml per five pounds. -repeat in 10-14 days
• Zimectrin Gold horse paste 77.5 mg/ml Praziquantel, 15.5 mg/ml ivermectin. Dose is ~0.06 ml per pound or 0.3 ml per five pounds -repeat in 10-14 days.

I would use the Equimax horse paste:

Thank you for your help! I could only find Zimecterin Gold and was wondering the best way to administer this? What would you recommend for egg withdrawal period? Also, do you recommend any preventative care I can provide to avoid this in the future?

How do you administer the Equimax to them? Some of my birds are very squirmy so Im thinking of inserting the paste in a small blueberry, as I've done with small pills in the past.

Hi! I got this Poultry De-wormer from the local feedstore. You can probably get it at Tractor Supply or a country feedstore. It not only treats tapeworm, but threadworms, roundworms, cecal worms, gapeworms, and tapeworms.

While this sounds great and I do agree Fenbendazole is an excellent dewormer, you may want to read this entire thread about the product that you have in your photo.
