Tar paper or Tyvek homewrap for coop

NOT last longer than Tyvek,
I suspect you are right on that account I am not that familiar with the Tyvek product. I also suspect tyvek is more expensive than tar paper and cost is a prime issue in this case I was led to believe.

Both products will keep the inside of the coop dry and draft free.

Tar paper will definitely out last the life of a chicken I think you and I can agree on that point.

will cast the deciding vote and I will respect the decision regardless of the outcome and wish buddy the best of luck.

My experience is inspecting roofs with storm damage. I often see cases where the wind removes shingles and exposes the roof felt. In about a year of being exposed the felt completely disappates, leaving bare decking underneath. I'd personally be very hesitant to use exposed roofing felt on a coop. Then again, I live a mile above sea level where the sun is pretty harsh and just because I see some cheap, old building materials fail, doesn't mean it's the same as what OP is talking about. All that said, I still vote for a durable paint if siding is not an option. If you have an exterior wood product, and you paint it, it will effectively be siding.

You can even use a deck stain. Cheaper than paint and you don't use a primer with it- two coats and done. Comes in solid colors too so looks like paint.
Don't think OSB will take stain.
Good paint would be the best bet.

No glue on the outside ? It’s all glued together all the little pieces .... paint is the way to go . Or collect free pallets and cover it with wood .

Good luck
