Just checking in--our eggs form Mille are in lockdown now, and we're hoping for a hatch on Sunday or Monday!! Can't wait to see what we'll get!!

These are our brown keepers from all the test hatches

and here is one of our "white buffalo" a white bird that made the "Tatanka" weight cuts,

Doing a similar thing with pigeons........ nice to know others are doing meat birds on here!

They're hatching! They started yesterday with about 7, and this morning there were about 30--there were 70 eggs, so we're hoping for lots more to hatch. We'll see--we weighed two of them -- 10 grams and 12 grams. 28 were in the brooder when I was there this morning. We'll let you know what else we get!! They're gorgeous little babies!!

eta- actually grew up just off the Taconic Pkwy, Jackson Corners Exit, hunted "Mount Ross" back and forth as a Kid...

WOW! how crazy! didn't even know! I live in Chatham village..... i get harrassed a lot. Especially since i started building the fence for my goat i am getting. the town leaders hate me..... but it is what it is.
Nice findign you on here! My friends live in Red Hook, and i eat dinner there in town sometimes!
