how do you qualify for this and how do I join the american famers associaiton?I have at least 100 chickens and hope to be selling lots of eggs by spring.When I shop at my local grainery or tsc they always ask if it is tax exempt.

Basically, what they are asking is "Do you have a tax exemption form on file with our store?"

But... You are expected to be a business in this for profit. Which also means filing federal and state income tax returns on your business.
