Taylor Incubators

Wow, very nice. Good pics too.

Years back there were hundreds of shops who would make bators, sorta
like furniture. Maybe someone will eventually recognize but I sure don't.
The company that made it is probably long gone.

Now start hatching eggs!!!!

I love it.

I figured that much and it's awful. I literally can't find ANY information on it. I hope someone knows a little about it or can at least give me an age range.

Oh I intend too.

I've had this for... 8ish years now. It's hatched pheasants, quail, chickens, chukar and guineas. I haven't hatched anything since my oldest son was born, so this is my first chicken egg hatch in 4 years. They're going to my sister in law since we're living in town at the moment. We're hoping to buy a farm house soon and I'd like to hatch a flock of 30+ orphingtons. I can't wait

It looks sound. Just a good clean up and rpplacement of the working parts should have it in order. I dont think I would trust the "guts," long term.

It could be the thermometer, but it's also on the hydrometer/hygrometer too.

I can help you here. The name "Taylor" is the name of the Taylor Instrument Co. in Rochester NY. It was begun in 1851 and made all sorts of thermometers and barometers for many years. At one point, the company name was "Tycos" before they changed it back to "Taylor." I have an antique incubator thermometer with the name "Tycos" on it that dates from about the 1920s. You can occasionally get them off eBay. That's where I got mine, and guess what? It's in one of my incubators right now, and it works very well. Sure beats that plastic junk from Walmart

Here's a link to some info on the Taylor Co.

It is a great looking incubator. Your making me want a cabinet style.

That is so incredibly cool! And I LOVE that it still works after all this time - in this day and age when you buy something and you don't even expect it to work tomorrow, let alone several decades later! That's a real treasure!
