Hi, Everyone!

I am new to BackYard Chickens as a member.....I have been perusing the site for the last week as I tried to become educated on the new critters at our school. We received a grant that enabled us to purchase some incubators, eggs, turners, and a brooder. Unfortunately, our hatch rate was terrible.....but we do have 4 adorable chicks aged 12,11, and 10 days old. I have posted a question about sexing the chicks but am searching for all sorts of information and am eager to make some new friends.

And while you are there in the learning center, do some reading throughout the center itself as it is loaded with all kinds of great reads on brooding your chicks, feeding adult birds and keeping them all happy, healthy and safe from predators...

the youth of today where some of our food comes from and
teaching youngsters about hatching your efforts are # 1 with
me
