Are those your eggs?In the last pic?First you have to make sure your eggs have chicks in them too.

Nope, not my eggs.
I've heard of candling, but I only know how to do it. I don't know what I'd be looking for or when or anything else. I've just seen it done.

My duck hatched out eggs by herself once.

I hope my hens do that.
I think I'd kind of like to have ducks, but they'd have to be very self-sufficient. I make the time to take care of the chickens, and it's not like they require a lot of time on a daily basis, but I can see one project after another popping up in my future. lol I can't start that with ducks too. lol

Yeah but I have 7 so maybe you could have like 2 ducks.

Yeah. If I had a male and a female, then I'd probably have a bunch all of a sudden one day, though.
So, maybe two hens? Do they usually get along well that way? or do they need a male to keep peace, like other animals?

I think two females would be nice.Plus you get eggs
