TeaChick's Chicks

UPDATE:

I'm getting a lot of eggs (not as many as I "should" be getting, but... I'll take it).
Anyway, I snapped some shots I wanted to share:
(in no particular order, b/c I just take what I can get from things that plug in. lol)
Anyway...

This one is a light brown egg and I took a picture of it b/c I liked the speckles.
If anyone knows how breed affects the speckles on the eggs' shells, then I'd like to know who laid this one.
I have a Jersey Giant, gold Comets, and a Cochin (I don't think she's laying, b/c these are all large eggs and she's a Bantam.)

This is the full array of colors I have been getting. I figured it might have meant that I have five brown egg hens laying; however, I just got a pinkish brown egg (on the back porch, so it's anybody's guess who laid it) which is different from these.
I have four Comets and I still don't think that my Bantam Cochin is laying, so... I guess both of those darkest eggs came from the same hen.

Please don't mind my husband's coffee grinds in the sink. This is before I washed the eggs, but I liked the way the looked in there, so I snapped the shot.
I call it "Sunday Morning Breakfast". Because we had them for breakfast today.

Clever, I know. lol

Well, any and all help in figuring out who's laying what would be helpful!!!
Thanks! =)

As you know the white one are White leghorns.I think the 4 darker eggs to the top of the pic are the Comets.I think maybe the light brown egg in the middle might just be the Cochins. The last one at the bottom of the pic that is light brown might be the JJ.

Are you sure???? lol

That's what I would think, but my Cochin is a Bantam is the only reason I would think it's not her. And her comb and waddles are still a little pink, so...

Here's a pic of the pink (mauve) color egg I got today (with a light and dark brown one for comparison):
Guess for me which hen is laying which egg color, please:

Just saying they all could be from the Comets because each chicken might lay a different egg color.

I would say the one at your fingers is the JJ.

The middle one might be the Bantams or a Comet.

The last one I would say is a Comets egg.

Yeah. Those sound like good guesses. I'd be surprised if my Bantam was laying eggs the same size as my Comets, but I guess it's possible.
Oh, but none of them are from my JG; I don't think she's been laying. She's sick again. =(
She's been coming out of the hen house slower and slower every morning and this morning, I went in there and caught her easily (it was less like catching and picking up against her will, but.... you know). Anyway, she's in the brooder until she eats her yogurt, then I'll let her free range with the flock and hope she sleeps in with the rest of the chickens tonight. IDK. I'm a little worried about her.

Well...
My brood hen (the Jersey Giant) is sick again. =(
She's been coming out of the hen house slower and slower every morning for almost a week now. She's been going in earlier and earlier.
I gave her 1oz yogurt, 1/4 t echenacia, and 1 egg (w/ shell) scrambled this morning, but she only ate half of it in three-four hours.
So, I went ahead and opened the brooder to let her free range.
My hope is that she'll roost in the hen house w/ everybody else tonight.
If I can catch her in the morning, then I'll do the same thing. (Give her a chance to eat some of that yogurt mixture, then let her out in the afternoon and hope she sleeps in the hen house).
Oh, her vent is clean, her poo is exactly like yellow mustard, and she was trying to catch a roach that was in the brooder. =o\

More later. I'm posting this info in other threads to get a lot of advice and see where it all goes. =)

UPDATE ON BEAUTY:

I've given her 1oz yogurt with 1 egg (shell and all) and 1/4 t ecinechea (still don't know how to spell it) the past two mornings. She only eats about half of it.
I put ACV in her water yesterday morning.
This morning I put 1/4 t ecinechea.

She was easy to catch this morning, but I didn't wait for her to come out of the hen house, I just went right in and got her.
Her vent is clean and yellow/pink. Her poo is like yellow streaked egg whites.
She's not very active.
She feels cold to the touch (feet and that bare spot under her wing).

We've had a cold front moving through all day, so the weather has gone from warm and rainy, this morning, to clear and then rainy, and then clear and cool, then rainy again and cooling. The clouds will clear by nightfall and it will just get colder from there.

Barring any specific suggestions/advice, I plan on continuing to give her the yogurt in the mornings.
Currently I am debating whether to leave her in the brooder b/c it's more protected than the hen house or to put her in the hen house b/c she'll be warmer with the other chickens. ???
