Teaching an old pigeon new homing

I might, parents willing, be getting a very nice homing pigeon. It is not a youngster, as it has flown over 500 miles. I don't know how to get it to home to my place, instead of its old loft in OK. Can anyone help me? Any ideas are appreciated.

The chances of resettling an older bird that has completed 500 mile races to a new loft are very slight. Most birds of that caliber must be kept as 'prisoners' and utiized for breeding. That is what I would recommend doing with this bird.
