Ok I have 2 chicks that hatched yesterday that are still not really eating or drinking. I'm dipping their beaks, but what else should I do?

I used my finger to "peck" into the chick mash and they came running to peck at it too.

If they just hatched yesterday they should still have a tummy-full of yolk to sustain them. They shouldn't need to eat or drink yet. Once they get fully dry & fluffy, and get more steady on their feet, they should take more interest in food & water. If they seem too weak for their age you can put a little sugar in their water. But just keep them warm & let them rest, tomorrow they should be more active.

Hey that might work too. I usually just take a chick from the previous weeks hatch to put in with the new ones to teach them what to do.
