To me it's amazing to watch a mother hen teach her little one everything about life.

Here is my cochin hen Ruthie teaching her only little one how to dust bath.

We just let our 3 week olds free range with mom today and were just laughing until our sides hurt at the dust bath frenzy with the chicks!!!

Aren't mama hens with babies the sweetest things? Too cute. Thank heaven I have broodies - it is SO much easier than raising the babies yourself. And they learn so much faster when mama raises them.
