Great idea, I was raised on a farm and I learned so many lesson's it is amazing. I raised my kids with animals and I am now raising my grand daughters with pets and have now added chickens to that list. My oldest grand daughter is only 20 months old but she loves to pick the eggs and bring them to me. Yes she drops a few but thats all about learning. I can't wait until we get the farm so the grand kids can learn where all their food come from. I think it gives kids a whole new way to look at food when they really know where the food comes from.

Check out your state fish and game and county extension office. They an provide you with all kinds of resources depending on where you live.

Lots of states have their own versions of Project Wild. They are great programs to use with kids
