Anything by Studio Ghibli is worth watching. Send to Chihiro (Spirited Away) is one of my favourites. They have something good SF too. Castle in the Sky, Laputa, for example.

If you're ever in Tokyo, get your tickets to the Studio Ghibli Museum before you go! It's absolutely worth seeing.

I think Howl's Moving Castle is my favorite.
