I installed Ubuntu Unity on my 2007 iMac. Managed to get wireless working, and it can in fact handle 720p30 YouTube playback. And run an up-to-date, fully functioning operating system all at the same time.

It's pretty responsive, too. Sometimes the transparency effects can cause slowdowns, but otherwise it runs fine, and is usable enough for posting on BYC.
