Technical Problem Using Mozilla Firefox

I upgraded the version of Firefox I was using, and now the buttons for replying and posting don't work. They don't even show the text. The "Post reply" box will turn yellow when I hover over it, but there is no functionality.

Can anyone tell me what setting I need to change to make these work again? (Note: I'm using Internet Explorer to post this problem, but it causes some of my apps to terminate so I switched to Firefox.)

after install did you shut down and reboot that will fix it sometimes

Yes, that was the first thing I tried. I've poked around in all of the settings I could think of, but I don't really know what it is I'm looking for. I was going to search Mozilla's help topics, but I don't know what to call the functionality that I've lost or what to put for the search criteria...

That's one I've never heard before.

Are you sure it shows you logged in while in firefox AND the reply buttons don't work? Meaning, do you see the text "Logged in as wsdareme" at the top left of the screen? There isn't anything else that would only make that text not show, but everything else work.

sounds like FF got wacked out during upgrade maybe hmmm

Oh, how embarrassing! I didn't even think to see if I was logged in, because I'm ALWAYS logged in when I go to BYC. Yup, that was it!!!

There are, however, a number of other problems this upgrade caused that Mozilla is working on........ Just not this one.

ETA: Okay, how do I delete this post so I don't keep embarrassing myself!!

My brother, a computer genius, said DON'T upgrade to version 4.0. It is a bad version, stay away from it and wait for the next upgrade to come out. If you did upgrade to 4.0 see if there is a way to get back to your older version.

i use chrome just uninstall and reinstall an older verison
