I have a question for the turkey folks out there. My 25 Red Bourbons are growing like mad (all in the 8-12 week range same as the pics posted here). How do I keep them from killing each other (until Thanksgiving)? The toms seem to want to fight with everyone, and I already have 4 separate groups in separate large pens, but I certainly don't have the ability to make individual pens for every tom. I let a group out every other day or so on my 40-acre farm to wander and forage and then pen them up again for a few days before they're let out again (I herd them back in). But if I let separate groups out together they just fight and fight. Not to mention the old tom who has not picked a fight so far, but I imagine he might down the road once the toms are big enough to challenge him. Right now they're his buddies. How does one raise 25 turkeys, without building 25 pens, is my question?
