Once there was a man with a golden arm. Though he had lost his real arm in an accident years before, the arm was comfortable, and the wife was proud to show it off. One day he told his wife that when he died, She MUST bury him with the golden arm. The wife found his request strange, but promised to carry out his wish. When the man died, the wife burred him with the arm as she promised. Years passed, and the wife began to run low on finances. She had to sell her house to pay the bills, and moved to a small apartment on the edge of town. She ate VERY little, and just managed to squeak out a meager allowance. Life was tough. And she began thinking how much that golden arm might have been worth........... At first she dismissed the thought out-right. She felt awful even thinking about it. Buuuuuuuuut after months of eating stale bread for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, the woman could not put those thoughts to rest. At first she told herself that he would not have wanted her to suffer; he would have wanted her to have the arm. She reasoned that she did, i fact, fulfill her promise, as she had buried him with the arm. It wasn`t worth anything to him anymore, which seemed like such a waste. Finally, one dark night, she gathered her courage and a shovel, she went to the cemetery to dig up the golden arm. She dug and dug until, finally, she had dug up the arm, It was beautiful, Glowing in the moon-light. She tucked the arm in her jacket and made her way back home. "No more stale bread!" she thought as the storm gathered in the night sky. The rain poured down, and the wind blew. The woman finally made it home, cold, wet, and tired. She didn`t know what to do with the arm, so she went to bed with it. All night she shivered, unable to get warm. The wind raged and it sounded kinda like a whispering voice. "Briiiiiiing baaaaaack my gooooooolden aaaaaaarm." The "Voice" sounded so far away, and the woman thought she was imagining it. She put a pillow over her head, But the voice only got louder. From the other side of the room she heard it again. She shook her head trying to convince herself she was crazy. She buried her head in the pillow again. Then the voice seemed to be even closer, and clearer now! She heard it again. The woman screamed at the top of her lungs, but as she could not be heard bcs the wind burst open the window. Terrified, she shivered uncontrollably under the blankets. The woman knew something was in the room with her. She could sense it. She was terrified, But she had to peek. She drew the blanket back ever so slightly, and there IT was---- a tall figure, Wight and ghostly. It said. "I`mmmmmm here!" The woman was petrified. She couldn`t even scream as the thing slowly glided over to her bed. "I`MMMMM PULLLLLING DOWWWWWN THE BLANKET!" "I`MMMMMMM GETTTTTING INNNNNN YOURRRRRR BEDDDDD!" The woman was so scared she couldn`t even breath! and then.................IT GRABBED HER! There you happy?
