On the side of the box I got them in there's a hatchery order for BCG eggs, so I reckon they had to order a minimum of eggs but their incubator/hen couldn't hold them all so they sold the rest at the auction

That's probably what happened. There was a couple little goslings think they sold for $7.50.

I'm wondering if they bought eggs a year or more ago, and now have eggs and goslings to sell from those original ones.

No date, was just big box of eggs.
