My best friend's husband worked with my valentine and they tried to get me to meet him for 2 years but I kept saying no. Well they invited each of us over one weekend to cook out without the other knowing. We dated for 3 years and will be married for 9 years on St, Patrick's day. He truly is the love of my life and I'm very thankful to have him.

In a bar on a Friday the 13th. Seriously! I had never been to a bar before or since. We got married that Thanksgiving and have been married for 22 years now. Dr. Hook was the band playing at the bar. We always have a date night on Fri. the 13th now.

Met her on a Sunday and my heart stood still...

10 days later, asked her to be my wife.

Got married 6 months after that.

Had our first kid 10.2 months AFTER that.

23 years later....and the rest is history....

My DH and I met at a local grocery store where we both worked at the time. I was 18, he was 25. Hehe, I was really bad at flirting and I really had a huge crush on him so I tried my hand at it... It back fired.

He was giving my a hard time and teasing me like he did to everyone at work, and I said to him "Does anyone really like you?"

Lol! But I was giving him a smile and had a twinkle in my eye...somehow he missed it

He still jokes about that to this day. He thought I hated him for the longest time, until I won him back by knowing what D&D was

Then we started talking and spending time together. We dated for 5 years and have been married for 4 and 1/2 years now

I am so blessed to have my best friend and soul mate as a hubby

My gift took 46 in the making and I too am very thankful. We have our days, but in the long run, we protect each other and real friends do.
