today, i spent 5 hours, with my BEST friend, my 2 brothers and my daughters, picking 4 gallons of huckleberries in the mountians, and 2 gallons of raspberries at my parents!
 
Love the idea of focusing on even ONE good thing in our day... Truth is just waking up was a pretty good start, I'd say! Not to mention that our lungs are working, keeping our hearts beating, keeping us alive! That in itself is a miracle!

But I did find out something exciting... turns out the 2 new chicks I got are a rare breed called Russian Orloffs. I didn't know anything about them, but I'm pretty stoked to find out more!

Today I managed to make a bit of money... sure, it isn't REAL money, but when I've just lost about 7 grand in the stuff it still feels good

I spent an hour at Norco City Hall talking with a council member and the City Manager, telling them some of the crap that the head of Code is pulling on people with chickens, and how it is negatively affecting people and families, with much larger fallout than they could ever imagine. They were very supportive and listened to me for the entire hour, and I think some heads are gonna roll.

The night is cool and beautiful! Soft breezes, big moon, plenty of stars....love the night sky and can't look at it enough. Good things happened all day today...but this night is the best!
