Tell me something GOOD that happened to you today.

I just realized that by reading this thread, that I have been overlooking some of life's most precious moments.
And I will try to SEE them more often.

What a great idea!

I was able to wake up! I am healthy! I am feeling pretty good. Considering a little over a year ago I was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer and went through surgery, chemo and radiation, this is a big deal!

A few days ago, I was able to deliver a baby, now I have 9 more deliveries and I can take my midwife exam! I am thankful!

Much needed rain is falling in my neck of Iowa. I slipped on peacock poop on the door step and just laughed because that is how much joy my chickens and peafowl have brought to me. They can do no wrong. My kids are healthy and happy and one last camping trip is in the works for the weekend! Only complaint is that I can't take my chickens with me camping! Have a great Wednesday everyone!

Top ten good things that happened today so far: (as of 8:20am Alaska time)

I woke up.
Made coffee, which means, it's available, and I have decent water to brew it
Able to give a cup to my beloved spouse, who got an extra 5 minutes in bed as a result
The dogs loved me.
The cat snuggled up.
I was able to listen to a sermon on line of a former pastor that really touched me.
I am able to watch the dawn.
There are a few snowflakes falling, but running out to the coop to put some stuff in the coop cupboard didn't require a jacket.
Saw a hiliarious picture on facebook (picture of Mt. Rushmore from the Canadian side)
Second cup of coffee tastes as good as the first, did I mention the sunrise?

As you can see, I'm easily amused....

Today was the first night that my chickens went in the coop for the night as soon as I turned on the light. They were looking for treats, and 2 cam out when the saw no treats yet LOL. So I ran out with them and everyone went in and are safe for the night
