I found a new home for my three week old Polish who was the only one to hatch along with two EE's. She now resides with 11 others who are the same age. She was so happy to see so many that looked just like her

Processed the last of our meat chickens for the summer. Meat chicken free for two weeks!!!

I woke this afternoon (I work nights - I'm not that big a slacker! lol) to find my big dog and my dumpling kitten snuggled next to me. The kitten had his paw on the dog's paw. It looked like they were holding hands in their sleep.
It just made me smile for some reason.
