I have enjoyed my transparent hen incubator because it has provided excellent hatchings for me, I can candle eggs without losing much heat, I get a full visual of my eggs all the time!!!

I have a Brinsea fully automatic Octagon 20 and I love it cause it really is just 'set and forget'.
The only things I have to do is make sure the water tank doesn't run dry, and stop turning after 18 days...

Pros:
- I can put lot sof eggs in
- It didn't cost a fortune
- It's easy to 'personalise'
- The temp dial is on the front so you can set it how you please
- It heats up really quickly, and humidity rises quickly too (after opening and closing)
- Humidity and temperature are very stable
- Works well on an inverter, if you need to go anywhere for a week!

Cons:
- You can't see inside very well
- The lid isn't a very good fit
- The eggs aren't stable: one knock and they all go flying
- It requires some modification to get water in during lockdown
- The ceiling is a little low for tall chicks
- Two hand job to open or close

I love my Hovabator

So far into the duck hatch it has only fluctuated 3 degrees (when i turn them) and they are all doing great!
