Telling Cuckoo Marans chicks apart from Barred Rocks?

I just got 5 day old CM chicks and 6 day old barred rock chicks and I can't, for the life of me, tell who's who. Is there any marking one has that I can use to tell them apart? Also, I read somewhere here that one way of telling the males from the females is by the amount of white they have on their heads? What exactly is this "saying" and is it an old wives tale or accurate?

Shouldn't CM chicks have lighter legs?

Barred Rocks have yellow legs, Marans should not.

I'll have to look closer then cuz I don't see a difference in their legs.
