Hi, this is my first time hatching chicken eggs.
I got an incubator on Amazon a while ago however I now realise I should have done more research on which one to buy.
I candled the eggs on day 4 and 10 and they looked fine. It is now day 21 and no external and only one internal pip, yesterday I decided to put a thermometer in to see what the temperature was and I realised it was shifting between 35°c and 36.5°c! I know this is extremely low and I didn’t know what to do because the incubator was at the max temperature, it said it was at 37-38°c but that was obviously wrong. There was 6 chicken eggs to begin with but 3 died on day 7-10. I hatched duck eggs before this and only two hatched but looking back now I realise they hatched almost a week late!
When I candled the chicken eggs today I could see movement and an internal pip in one and nothing in the other two however one is very dark and difficult to see into.
Should I just leave them as it is and hope for the best or is there anything I can do that might increase their chance of survival? Thanks.
