I have a still-air hovabator and I keep at 101 to 101.5 with great success. I've heard that if you have a fan you should keep it at 99. Hope that helps.

Afterthought- you could probably get online on their website and find out which temp to use with the fan and which with still air.

Go for the 99.
It should be 99.5 in an incubator with fan. 101.5 in still air. It will vary about a degree either side of your set point anyway as it fluctuates, and thats fine.

HovaBator with circulated air (fan) should be 99.5 on the top of the eggs. Now keep in mind .... the temp changes as the heat cycles up and down. A thermometer ... "Spot Check," is great, as it shows exactly what the temp is, and you can watch it cycle up and down. Then, you take the average of the highest and lowest. Example .... my Spot Check shows 101.8 at highest, and at lowest it shows 97. So, the average of that is what I go by ( 99.4 ).
