Hello i bought a little giant still air and put a dozen eggs in a week ago. It has digital thermostat preset to 99.5 so i figured it was ok. Today i added a mercury thermometer and it says im actually at 92 deg. So iv probly lost my eggs. I adjusted and in order to get my egg level temp to 100 deg i have to set digital temp to 105. Is this safe to run that high and not catch on fire?

Has the mercury thermometer been calibrated? Calibrate the mercury thermometer if you have not already done that. That way you know whichever one is reading incorrectly.
