First post here... new to chickens (have been wanting them for years and finally took the plunge).... Long story short, we came home from local feed store with one golden sex link because my daughter thought the “lightest” one was cute (I had only researched the two breeds I planned to get, black australorps and silver-laced Wyandottes). After getting home and doing research, I realized we most likely had a roo. Fast forward 10 weeks and I’m sure he’s a roo so now we need to find him a new home. I’m wondering if anyone knows the temperament of a golden sex link roo, or does is just vary from bird to bird? Thanks!

It varies from bird to bird. Our Golden Comet lad Johnny was pretty nasty though, and in my experience, most production cross roosters are not nice boys. If your daughter's attached, you might want to wait and see, though.
