Temperature help

I have a hovabator 1602 which i added my own fan...added my eggs yesterday the temperature is at 99.1 i know 99.5 is ideal but i don't know how to get it there you barely touch the thermostat and it goes to 102 so i don't want that....I have the vents open and humidity is at about 37%

99.1 is fine. Most never get to the ideal 99.5

You've been so helpful I'm like panic mode lol can you tell its my first time....also I've been keeping the humidty on the low side like you said is it okay if over night it dipped to like 27% I know you said let it go dry when I first add my 2nd batch of eggs...
