Good news for me! My desktop is ancient (early 2017) so I upgraded to MacBook Air and the issues aren't there anymore. I'll wait and see though.

That's great to hear! I probably wouldn't hold my breath because I'd be surprised if the issue was related to your computer.

Lately BYC has just been completely freezing, and even if I close/reopen it, it's still frozen. I'm on mobile.

I'm not currently running MalwareBytes so I don't think that is the issue...

I think @Nifty-Chicken has determined from all our posts that it's not us or what we have or don't have, as there are too many PCs, phones, and iPads reporting similar issues.

I'd turn your Malwarebytes back on. I'll date myself, but I've been using that product for about three decades.
