Temperature of coop vs outside

I recently bought a digital thermometer that came with 3 sensors, it also monitors humidity. I have one in the coop, one in the run and one outside the run. So far it seems to be working fairly well.

I bought this exact thermometer a couple weeks ago with the sole intention of putting one of the sensors in the coop.... next spring... when we finally get our chickens! Makes my little nerdy heart happy knowing the south/north/porch temperatures. I might just buy another one to use the way you have.

Interesting to see your result! I did the same thing, and have temperature/humidity readings from coop, run, and outside. What’s interesting to me is that your temperature and humidity tracks like mine. Temperature is mostly the same in all three locations. Humidity is slightly higher in run than outside, but coop is lower than outside.

For ventilation, I have one window open, a ridge vent, and ventilation at the eves on both sides of the coop.

Here’s mine to show you the similarity.

I was wondering if mine was tracking ok, good to know it’s similar.

My ventilation is at eves and both sides of coop, (I’d like more but we will do that next time!) and we have windows on either wide and a big front window (under covered run) we can open on nice days.
