So i finally got the heat back up to about 100F in the messed up hova bator. im sure its the wafer.

I am at or around 100F constantly now and humidity is at 55%

I have a duck egg hatching in there now so i am misting it every so often, so far its still doing fine, nice and noisy.

I have chicken and some runner/GC duck eggs in right now.

is my temp good?
humidity okay?
should they hatch on time, granted everything stays where its at..?

its taking FOREVER it seems like for it to get back up to heat when i open it to turn the eggs.

should i just wait til the duckling hatches before i turn the eggs anymore?

will they be okay if i cant turn them daily?

I've only incubated chicken eggs in the incubator before and they seemed to zip right out..and they were in the incubator with a turner. so I'm a little clueless right now.

My Hovabator arrived yesterday. I will set eggs Saturday. The instructions that came with the bator says to turn the eggs three time a day.

From what I've noticed, it seems to be the thermometers that take so long to get up to temperature, rather than the incubator itself. I would make sure it wasn't that.

If it's 3 or 4 days until the rest of the ducklings hatch, not turning would be a better idea.
