Temperature

I have 5 chicks approximately 6 weeks old. I live in central illinois the lows are in the low 40s at night. Is it too soon to have them in a coop with no heat lamp

Have you been weening them off the heat or are they still using it? At 6 weeks, off heat totally and fully feathered yes, you could move them in. If still on heat, start weening them off for the next week. Then a couple days no heat and move them in, next weekend.

Right now they only have the light at night
