Temps on my incubator!

IMO I would keep them all the same distance away from the heat source in the incubator. Seems like the ones who keep the eggs directly under the heat have eggs hatching before the ones kept to the side. One lady had an egg hatch 3 days later because of the difference in where she kept it. Try to keep them equally away from the heat source so they all hatch about the same time. I would also trust the digital over the reg thermometer. In my hova (that has the temps set at 99.5 degree) my reg one is reading 101 and my digital is reading 99 right on the dot. When I put another one in there it also read 99.
Those still airs are so hard to regulate. Good luck with your hatch and I hope you have a good one

Ok so I had a broke computer in the shed (not sure why it was still in there) I took 1 of the fans out of it. I found a plug that says it was for a 12v item (everyone has a box of cords that plug into something you just can't remember what so you can't throw them out right? Well maybe not but I have like 14 cords I can't figureout what they went to.) I cut the end off the small end where it would have connected to the item it went to. I then cut the yellow wire off the fan hooked the red wire to 1 of the cord wires and the black to the other. I used wire nuts (guess thats what they are called) and then electrical tape over them just incase. plugged it up and wow it worked. So I just put it in the bator, I put mine in the bottom because thats where my heater is. I will let you know if the bator keeps a more equal temp in a few hours.

Temps are staying within .5 of each other now so I guess it is worth having the fan. My temps before fan on 3 therm. were 102 100.5 and 99, now holding steady on all 3, 2 say 100 1 says 100.5. I would try to get a fan if you can.
