Ten day old chick chest bumps and pecs my hand

My broody hatched 9 chicks 8 gold Appenzellers and one from our yard chickens.
This big yellow yard chick chest bumbs and pecs my hand.
Has anyone ever had a chick so young do this?
Dose it mean its probs a roo?
I hope it's not a roo it's soo full of character I really want too keep this one.

No it doesn't mean its a roo(though it could be) it just means that it thinks your hand is another chick and its establishing the pecking order with you. My silkie chick used to do that and turned out to be a hen.
