I am in no way saying you need to put your duck down. I would try every means possible to treat her. Sorry I was not the one who suggested it.

Oh no - I realized that. Thank youI am in no way saying you need to put your duck down. I would try every means possible to treat her. Sorry I was not the one who suggested it.
No I think she has lost the strength in her tendon around her hock. She stand fine but it's when she moves forward that she can't pull her foot under her. Same when swimming so she goes around with it behind her. She rests all day, when not doing "physical therapy"!Sorry to hear about your girl, I hope you can get her feeling better again.
You had said she couldn't walk at all but now she can stand so I would think that's a bit of an improvement. We recently went through leg issues with one of our ducks but the vet was never able to figure out the cause. We did warm water soaks 2x a day and set her up a cozy area with food and water so she could rest and wouldnt have to move around to eat or drink.
Our vet also perscribed Meloxicam for pain and inflammation.
Is she able to move her foot normally when she is in the water?
