Debi came out here yesterday to visit with all of my chickens...just as soon as she left my eggs started hatching like crazy

Wanted to let everyone know I put my Mille Fleur Leghorns up on the BSA

Crazy chickens. I just turned them out to free-range. Sun shining like crazy and where do they go? In the shade of a building where the frost is still on the ground. Gotta love 'em.

We are trying to get a second breeding shed built so I can have 10 more breeding pens and runs..right now we have too many living together.My second bator started hatching last night-this time blue mottled bantam cochins

Anyone need chicks? I have at least 100 here now

got up "early" and headed to the Chicken Sale in Sweetwater this morning. I got there at 8:15 just in time to see everyone packing up and heading home! i knew they started around 7 but i didn't even begin to imagine i would miss the whole shebang! there were a few people still selling, but nothing i NEEDED (i saw a trio of Yokohamas i would have loved to have but they were 4 years old and i certainly don't need them).

just as i was about to leave, i spotted a lavender turkey in the back of a truck. i made a mad dash for it only to find out that the guy had just bought it that morning from a guy who had already left. NOOO!!! i want those turkeys so bad. she was absolutely beautiful.

i guess i'll be up even earlier in 2 weeks.

Stupid me...I got mixed up and thought the sale in Sweetwater started at 9. We got there about 9:45 and there wasn't a single feather around. I thought I had the date wrong. Ooooo - I don't want any turkeys, but I'd love to see a lavender one.
