We went to Tractor Supply Saturday and they had baby rabbits instead of chicks, but the Co-op had chicks. I ooowed and aaawed but didn't get any. I just don't have the right kind of place to keep them until they're big enough to put out with the big girls. They are soooo cute, though.

I went to TSC to get horse feed yesterday and only rabbits.I have heard all the other feed stores around here have chicks..do I or don't I

no problem sneaking them in here..we have so many chicks right now another 10-20 wouldn't be noticed-but have about 40 dth this week..if only I knew they had some of what I "need" ..oh wait that is an intervention. How many people have 100 or so chicks in the basement. It's got to warm up soon so these month old kids can go to the outside playpens.

We currently have 27 in our basement. 8 goslings should arrive tomorrow to live in the basement for a bit. I am eyeballing some local chicks on craigslist and we are firing up the bator again on Sunday.

Let me know how that intervention goes. Last June we decided to get a few hens. I have no idea how this happened.

Who's the smart alec who said Spring was almost here? It's been snowing hard for 3 hours at my house this a.m. Ground's covered, I had to cancel my therapy session, my feet are cold, and I hate this weather!
