Tennessee

Hello, I'm in Bradley county also! No chickens yet though, have to get a coop first. If anyone knows a good coop builder or seller (that delivers) in the area, I'm all ears!

I am also in Bradley county...lol The amish over near reliance (Delano) build these things all the time

Also, I do quail mostly (I do have 5 hens that roam the backyard like raptors)

I live up of Dalton pike, near Waterville As far as a run, finding a contractor in SE tennesseee to do a single damn thing he says is damn near impossible

Trying to build a house up ini Decatur on some land we have, we have had 7 contractors not just cancel on us, but outright ghost us its awful around here for that type of work

If you want to PM me, I can send you the number to the guy who build my shed?

I live on the shores of the English Channel and I've already said hello in the UK thread, but I was born in Johnson City and raised in Alexandria (went to school in Nashville -- an hour and a half drive each way, oof!). My mother kept Araucanas and one little banty rooster I hated in the worst way (their pen was outside my bedroom window and he crowed at all hours, nasty little pipsqueak). When my husband suggested chickens, I gave him the hairy eyeball.

That was ten years and many bantam chickens ago. Every once in a while, I get homesick and want to hear from Tennesseans. I hope you don't mind if I eavesdrop.

Always welcome! I looked hard in the Johnson City area before settling on Smith County. Drop in anytime you're always welcome.

That'd be awesome if you don't mind! Sorry, I'm just now seeing this . Our internet went out in one of the storms we had a week or two ago. Two visits from AT&T, two new routers, and we're finally up and running again.

Sigh, I've contacted dozens of handymen, builders, and fence companies. Out of three handymen who even bothered to call or write back to me, two scheduled dates to come out and stood me up, wasting my time. One came out, then I didn't hear for him for days, when I finally contacted him, he gave me a quote that was more than we feel comfortable paying. Anyway, we just decided to simplify and have a chain link fence put up. We're waiting to hear back from the company that gave us the quote......we'll see.

Congratulations on your house/property in Decatur! I'm sure it is beautiful. My parents used to live off of Dalton Pike. It's pretty out there. We're not too far away, off Spring Place RD.
