DENV-3 CH53489 (cl 24/28) caused dengue fever in all seven subjects to whom it has been administered (Table 7). It induced rash in seven, neutropenia in two, thrombocytopenia in two, and elevated ALT in one subject. One subject also developed perihepatic, perisplenic, and pericardial effusions post-infection.
