A few months ago i picked up a Lorp Rooster "6 months old" so in the future he could tend to my 30 new Lorp pullet's i bought. It came from egg_newton here on BYC. All of a sudden he comes down sick. He lays in the middle of the floor and just watches the girls run around him with his tail layed out flat behind him . He's pinned with 5 hen's, and 2 polish hen's. Before when i introduced him to the adult girls he loved trying to breed them, especially the polish. He would always crow and have his large curled erect tail up in the air. Now he just there in his own filth, he even goes to the nest boxes and gets inside thoe's to curl up and go to sleep. His comb and wattles are still red, but like a peach red....not as bright and waxy as it was before. His poop is runny and is baby green with yellowish tint to the urin part. He will just sit there and poo on himself. I have seen him eat and drink..but very small ammount's. I'm very worried for him because i do not want to lose him for my future pullets. Also im afraid for the other girls he's pinned with, i would hate for them to get sick to. This has been going on for about a week now, everyone else is acting 100%....except for the general. I have another pen in the same room sectioned off with wire to hold bantams. There is a millie fleur rooster who likes to fight the general through the wire from time to time. So maybe it's possible the banty roster scratched him and got him sick or hurt some how. I keep clean water, fresh bedding, good ventilation and visit everyone every day. It sometimes seems that he has a hard time keeping his balance when he get's up and tries to move. I'm very worried about him, i hope you guy's can tell me what i can do to make him feel better.
