Testing Eggs for parasites?

    So it just so happens i am watching Monsters Inside Me right now and I'm getting kinda paranoid. Is there anything i could buy to tests my eggs for parasites or bacteria like Salmonella?

    If you cook your eggs properly, salmonella won't be a threat. I don't know that you can get parasites from eating eggs. Maybe you should watch something else... [​IMG]

    you can pay to have your flock tested by your state vet for salmonella pullorum and/or avian influenza (the two diseases of chickens that can effect humans). it's a simple matter of drawing blood from under the wing of each bird, then waiting a few weeks for the test results.
