Tetanus question. Dh is injured

I don't have time to read all the posts right now, but with that kind of wound he needs a tetanus shot and also to be on antibiotics. Especially since the hardware cloth was not new & clean.

About a year and a half ago my husband was trimming our pyracantha and got a small thorn under his skin; it became infected, which then became systemic--all quite rapidly. Long story short, he ended up on IV antibiotics and was sicker than you can even begin to imagine for a couple of weeks. (and many doctor visits)

Update: the swelling has subsided a bit but the area is still red and tender to the touch. Doesnt look nearly as bad as it did yesterday.

The soaking and the triple antibiotic cream must have helped some. Hopefully just not delaying the inevitable.

Just sore now. The swelling is gone so I think I can relax

When the wire went in, it hit the bone so I think thats what is causing the pain.
